Barber race review

Going into the weekend at Barber Motorsports Park, we knew we were going to be on the back foot from the start. With only a two-hour practice session split between three drivers, there was very little time for any of us to fully settle into the car before qualifying immediately followed. Every lap mattered, and we had to adapt quickly.
Despite the limited track time, the team worked hard to get the NP01 dialed in as best as possible. The focus all weekend was maximizing every session and staying clean heading into the race.
I was selected to start the race, and from the green flag I pushed hard to move us forward through the field. The car felt strong, and lap after lap we continued building momentum. During my stint, I was able to put our NP01 into the lead — a huge moment for the entire team considering the challenges we faced coming into the weekend.
Unfortunately, endurance racing can be brutal.
About two hours into the race, while we were still in contention and looking competitive, the car suffered a mechanical failure that forced us out of the race. It was a disappointing end to what had been shaping up to be an incredibly promising weekend.
Even though the result wasn’t what we wanted, there are still plenty of positives to take away. The pace was there, the team executed well under pressure, and we proved we could run at the front. That makes the DNF even tougher, but it also gives us confidence heading into the next event.
Huge thanks to everyone on the team who put in countless hours all weekend, as well as everyone supporting us along the way. Racing can give you the highest highs and the lowest lows in a matter of moments — and this weekend at Barber was a perfect example of that.
We’ll regroup, rebuild, and come back stronger for the next one.
